1. Wing Commander Rajkumar Marudhavanan, the 22nd Vice Principal of Sainik School Kazhakootam, was commissioned in the Education Branch of Indian Air Force on 16 Dec 2007 from Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad. The Officer is a Graduate in Economics and a Post Graduate in Personnel Management. He is also a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Yoga as well as Counselling Psychology. He has presented and published two research papers on “Corporate Yoga” and “Industries’ Expectations from the University” in the international seminar conducted by APS University at Rewa in 2018.
2. In his illustrious career spanning 17 years in the Indian Air Force, the officer has been associated with Education Administration and has performed many Instructional duties & Operational tasks.
3. He has been the Executive Director of Primary School at Air Force Station, Amla, MP and a Senior Secondary School at Air Force Station, Jorhat, Assam.He has also been the Chairman Nominee of VMC (Vidhyalaya Management Committee) in various Kendriya Vidhyalayas.
4. He has served as Vice Principal in Sainik School Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, Training Officer at Mechanical Training Institute, Directing Staff at Ground Instructions School, Chennai, Senior Education Officer, Public Relation Officer, Welfare Officer, Station Adjutant, Security and Counter Intelligence Officer, Sports Officer, Fire Officer and Catering Officer at various Air Force Bases.
5. He was awarded the Air Officer Commanding in Chief (AOC-in-C) Commendation of Maintenance Command on 08 Oct 2016 for contributing immensely towards the Primary School at Air Force School Amla which won the coveted trophy for the best primary school in IAF.
6. The Officer has successfully completed Police Commando Instructor Course at NSG Manesar and Advanced Security and Intelligence Course at Air Force Intelligence School, Pune. He is a trained and certified Psychologist for Service Selection Board (SSB Psychologist). He is an ardent Sportsperson, a Fitness enthusiast and Adventurer who has won many medals in Rifle Shooting, Body Building, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Aerobics & Handball and has participated in Para Sailing, Sky Diving, Power Motor Gliding, Horse Riding, Trekking, Hiking, Cycle Expedition from Hyderabad to Nagaruna Sagar Dam and River Rafting at Rishikesh. He has done an impressive number of 24 hikes and treks so far which includes one of the toughest treks of kerala - Agastiyarkoodam. His accomplishments include being Parade Adjutant of the RD Parade Contingents at Chennai twice in 2011 & 2013 and winning a Silver medal in the National Chess Boxing Championship in 2023.
7. The Officer’s hobbies and interests include Yoga, Gym work-outs, Adventure activities, Life Skill coaching and studying Financial Markets.
8. He is actively engaged in inculcating Life Skills among young minds through Education, Adventure, Sports and Yoga.
9. Previous to taking over his current appointment as Vice Principal of SSKZM, He was Directing Staff at National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, Pune.
